About this Work
When sitting with the blank surface of this not-yet-started piece, it was a pack of wolves that emerged in me - running through me with a wild and colorful joy. What a simple and obvious thing! Just paint what comes to me, through me.
The glow from the right emerged slowly in the painting, layers of milk and cream visually softening the leaders of the pack. It was only after completing the painting that I felt the atmosphere to be like moonlight. A pull, a call, a gravity. And a togetherness. I feel the wolves are running toward something really good. I feel it through my heart, my body, and it’s my hope that maybe you can feel it too.
