ABOUT
As a GUIDE.
Born in Colorado and raised in Alaska, I was graced by Nature.
In the arctic, summer light is intense and endless.
The winters are deep and dark.
It was in this cauldron of extremes that I was forged.
Alchemy is not a metaphor, but a reality: the sun is everything. Without it, the dim world freezes. With it, life springs forth with vigor and wild generosity. Living through these far-northern cycles of winter and summer, I came to know - in my blood and bones - the gifts of light, fire, flora, darkness, depth, silence.
I also became intimate with the wellspring of these qualities:
The Origin.
Whatever we call it - Origin, Source, Being - this has been a lifelong fountainhead of the deepest strength.
And since my late teens, I’ve folded into this relationship with Origin, both body practices (yoga & martial arts) and extraordinary medicines, both of which amplify and root the currents of aliveness that run through us all, that flow through everything. The currents that enliven us, transform us, create us - from one moment into the next.
And now, I’ve ripened to this moment of inviting others into this experience. Offering guidance in what has been so natively potent for me.

As an ARTIST.
Making images is one of the most universal things we as humans do.
Whether it’s handprints on a cave wall or crayons on a bedroom wall.
Which leads me to feel that the most compelling question is not “Why do we create pictures?” but instead “Why do most of us stop?”
And I did come to a full stop, in my early teens. Crippling perfectionism soured what once was an act of joy and self-possession into a painful self-implosion and truly gnarly inner-breakdown.
Following a sequence of entirely unplanned-for events, I bloomed a career in drawing and painting in my mid-twenties. And for the past twenty-five years, I’ve been finding moments of freedom in my art-making, in-between big squeezes of poisonous self-critique and collapse.
I am now in the midst of a creative uprising.
Relating to every moment as a creative act. I’ve set down my brushes and chalks (at least for now), and am working more directly with others - with all that swims in their unconscious places. We travel through the inner-world - and the outer world - together, discovering and creating meaning along the way.
Though I’m not currently painting, I continue to offer prints from my decades of art-making, as well as a small handful of available originals.
