It started as an average day at the art studio - watercolors, oil pastels, chalks, and crayons. But Koen shocked the Boulder art scene when he set all these media aside, and plunged headfirst into the world of three-dimensional art with this stool/yarn sculpture.

I came home to find that Koen had turned the living room into a gymnasium. “I told him he couldn’t climb onto the end table to get to the couch,” explains Amber, “so he climbed up the far chair and leaped to the couch, bypassing the table altogether. He’s been doing this all afternoon.” This series of four photos is from four different jumps.
