Big City Livin’

Koen napping in the Ergo Baby Carrier. Every morning, Amber and Koen (and myself, if I’m not too busy with work) head out for a super-sized walk in the city or neighborhood. A current favorite ending site is Pablo’s Cafe, which roasts up their own organic beans daily. The view shown here is from a walk in the opposite direction, toward the heart of the city.

Sweet Pea

Our bedroom is, quite literally, our “bed room” - four walls, a ceiling, and a mattress. All of which creates a safe little haven for Koen to roll about in.

Grandma Dianne, Koen, and a Dash of Ingenuity

Koen sits on his Grandma Dianne’s lap, in his Great Grandma’s home in Denver. Teething is in full swing.

Grandma shared a clever and resourceful means of having Koen entertain himself—hang a spoon from the ceiling, and let him go at it. At this point, Koen isn’t quite sitting up by himself yet, so he spends the bulk of his time pawing at the spoon in the supine position. Meow.

Koen’s Great Grandpa Frank and Kay from Georgia sent him this fine piece of advanced technological equipment—it’s a little eating chair that straps onto our dining chairs. In these photos, Koen is demonstrating a culinary appreciation for applesauce and plumsauce. Mmm.
